Junior Estimator

Located in Sarasota, Florida, Perrone Construction is a high‑performing custom home builder with over 45 years of delivering architecturally designed, premium residences ranging from 4,000 to over 20,000 square feet. We are seeking a detail‑oriented and driven Assistant Estimator/Purchaser to support our Senior Estimator and play a key role in preconstruction and procurement.

As an Assistant Estimator/Purchaser, you will support the estimating and purchasing process from concept through construction.

• Assist in developing accurate, well‑organized cost estimates
• Perform quantity take‑offs from plans and specifications
• Support value engineering efforts through detailed cost comparisons
• Price owner selections, upgrades, and scope changes

• Prepare and issue subcontracts and purchase orders
• Solicit, review, and level subcontractor/vendor bids
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with subcontractors and suppliers

• Track and manage change orders throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure pricing accuracy and alignment with project budgets
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain project flow and cost control

• 2–3 years of experience in residential construction estimating, purchasing, or a related field
• Recent graduates with a degree in Construction Management or a similar discipline are encouraged to apply
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Sage 100 Contractor, Procore, Bluebeam, or OnScreen Takeoff
• Experience working with custom or luxury residential projects
• Exposure to subcontractor bidding and procurement processes

• Base salary $65,000 – $75,000, commensurate with experience
