As a Project Superintendent, you will be responsible for the on‑site execution of landscape construction projects from start to finish. This role serves as the primary field leader on assigned projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to company quality standards. The Project Superintendent works closely with project managers, foremen, subcontractors, and field crews to coordinate daily activities, manage resources, and resolve issues in real time.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and experienced leading landscape construction operations in the field.
- Manage day ‑ to ‑ day field operations for assigned landscape construction projects
- Supervise and coordinate field crews, foremen, and subcontractors on site
- Ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards
- Plan and direct daily and weekly job activities, including labor, equipment, and material needs
- Monitor job progress and productivity, identifying and addressing issues that impact schedule or quality
- Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA requirements, promoting a strong safety culture
- Conduct site inspections, daily check ‑ ins, and job meetings as required
- Coordinate closely with project managers on schedules, changes, and resource needs
- Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports and job progress updates
- Communicate effectively with clients, inspectors, and internal teams to support successful project delivery
- Experience in landscape construction or related construction fields
- Proven experience supervising field crews and construction activities
- Strong working knowledge of landscape construction practices including grading, irrigation, hardscape, drainage, and planting
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, schedules, and specifications
- Experience managing job site safety, quality control, and production
- Strong organizational and time ‑ management skills
- Effective communication and problem ‑ solving abilities
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required
- Experience serving as a superintendent or foreman on landscape construction projects
- Familiarity with construction scheduling, reporting, and field management tools
- Knowledge of OSHA and local safety compliance requirements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing jobsite conditions
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred
- Experience working with commercial, municipal, golf, or large ‑ scale landscape projects
