Field Engineer

Thalle Construction Co., Inc. is pleased to announce a career opportunity for a Field Engineer on the Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP) Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) A-2 Reservoir in Palm Beach County, Florida. This project marks the largest contract in the Jacksonville District’s history, valued at $2.87 billion. Thalle will oversee the construction of a 17.75-mile embankment dam and associated structures.

Job Title: Field Engineer

Salary: Competitive compensation package based on experience.

The Field Engineer works to support project operations to plan and construct a safe, productive, and quality-focused project. This position works closely with Superintendents and field leadership to support daily construction activities, tracking, reporting, and field coordination.

• Work directly with Superintendents and field leadership to support daily construction activities and production goals
• Track and report production quantities, material usage, and field progress on a daily basis
• Prepare and maintain daily field reports documenting all activities, manpower, equipment, and production
• Assist in equipment tracking, utilization reporting, and field verification of equipment use
• Support surveying and layout activities, including coordination of field layout data and verification of work in place
• Assist with short-term schedules and three-week look ahead schedules in coordination with project leadership
• Participate in daily huddles, production meetings, and coordination meetings with field teams and subcontractors
• Support documentation of change order work, field conditions, and as-built information
• Track project progress and production data using project management systems (including RMS where applicable)
• Assist with coordination of subcontractors, materials, and field logistics as directed
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and actively support jobsite safety initiatives

• Minimum 5–10 years of field construction experience (heavy civil preferred)
• Strong ability to track quantities, production data, and daily field activities
