Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 base DOE

Tiello has partnered with a highly reputable Structural Steel Fabricator in Palm City, FL on their search for a Structural Steel/Miscellaneous Metals Estimator who specializes in delivering high-quality fabrication for commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the region.

Role

Summary:

The Structural/Miscellaneous Metals Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for miscellaneous metals fabrication projects including stairs, railings, ornamental metals, ladders, embeds, and other custom fabricated steel components. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fabrication processes, the ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings, and experience utilizing Tekla Power Fab (formerly Fab Suite).

Structural & Miscellaneous Metals Fabrication - Commercial Construction, Industrial Construction, Stairs & Railings, Ornamental Metals, Ladders & Platforms

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for miscellaneous metals fabrication projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings
• Analyze project specifications, bid documents, and scope requirements
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Develop competitive bid proposals while maintaining company profit margins

Project Coordination

• Collaborate with detailing, project management, and production teams throughout the estimating process
• Review project drawings to identify scope gaps, RFIs, and value engineering opportunities
• Participate in bid reviews and project turnover meetings after award
• Assist with change order pricing as needed

Software & Documentation

• Utilize Tekla Power Fab (Fab Suite) for estimating, tracking, and project management functions
• Maintain organized bid documentation and estimating records
• Update estimating databases and historical cost information
• Support continuous improvement of estimating procedures and standards

Qualifications / Requirements:

Required:

• 3+ years of estimating experience within structural steel or miscellaneous metals fabrication
• Strong background in structural steel & miscellaneous metals fabrication (fabrication experience required)
• Experience using Tekla Power Fab (Fab Suite)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and fabrication drawings
• Knowledge of fabrication processes, steel materials, and production workflows
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Eligibility to work in the United States

Preferred:

• Experience estimating projects that include field installation
• Previous experience with commercial or industrial construction projects
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or Tekla Structures
• Experience working with project management or ERP software within a steel fabrication environment
