The Opportunity

R.J. Kielty is looking for an experienced HVAC New Construction Manager to lead our growing New Construction Division at our Brandon location.

This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced HVAC professional who wants to take ownership of a growing residential new-construction operation. You'll have the resources, team, and support of an established Florida company while having a direct impact on project execution, team performance, customer relationships, and profitability.

We are looking for someone with at least 10 years of HVAC industry experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and oversee residential HVAC new-construction projects from pre-construction through final completion.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, scopes of work, schedules of values, and equipment buyouts.
  • Review plans, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Coordinate HVAC systems with builders, general contractors, trades, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and review takeoffs, submittals, shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built documentation.
  • Manage project budgets, labor productivity, material requirements, and overall profitability.
  • Lead, develop, and hold field personnel accountable for performance and productivity.
  • Schedule and delegate manpower and resources to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, vendors, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Monitor job progress and provide accurate project updates and reporting.
  • Attend and actively participate in project and construction meetings.
  • Ensure work is completed according to company standards, project specifications, and applicable mechanical codes.
  • Manage contracts, change orders, purchasing, inventory, and project documentation.
  • Oversee inspections, punch lists, final completion, invoicing, retainage, and customer satisfaction.
  • Interview, hire, train, develop, and manage employees.
  • Identify problems early and develop practical solutions to keep projects on schedule and profitable.
What We're Looking For

Required:
  • 10+ years of HVAC industry experience.
  • 5+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Significant experience in residential HVAC new construction.
  • Strong knowledge of current Florida mechanical codes and construction requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage personnel and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
  • Experience with HVAC takeoffs, estimating, scheduling, and project management.
  • Strong understanding of labor productivity, material management, and job costing.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong computer and technology skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred:
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Estimating experience.
  • Project startup/pre-construction experience.
  • Experience working directly with residential builders and general contractors.
  • Experience managing a large field team.
  • Strong understanding of construction financials and project profitability.
