Genres offered are Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acro, Musical Theater, Strength/Conditioning. We teach all ages from infants with caregivers to adults!
Position OverviewWe are seeking a vibrant, friendly, passionate, professional, and knowledgeable instructor to join our team. Weekdays needed are Wednesday and Thursday mornings, with some potential to teach more days. Total of hours taught per day vary from 2-4.
There will also be opportunities for more hours during special events!
Responsibilities- Teach dance classes to children, teens, and/or adults in various styles (ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, etc.)
- Develop lesson plans and choreography for performances, recitals, and other events and turn them in to supervisor promptly each month
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and encourage students to achieve their personal best
- Provide constructive feedback and individualized support to help students grow
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to organize studio events and performances
- Ensure the safety of students by adhering to studio policies and safety guidelines
- Maintain professional communication
- Stay current with dance trends, techniques, and teaching methods; always be learning!
- Proven experience as a dance teacher (preferred)
- Proficiency in one or more dance styles (ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all skill levels and ages
- Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability
- Passion for dance and a commitment to student development
- A genuine desire to support the studio’s mission and foster a positive community atmosphere
- MUST pass a background check and acquire CPR/First Aid training

- Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour
- Expected hours: 2 – 6 per week
