In the Film Production Master of Fine Arts degree program, students learn the artistic, technical, professional, and academic aspects of filmmaking. The program provides aspiring filmmakers with the advanced creative, technical, and aesthetic knowledge and skills required to produce, crew, and package a professional feature-length or short film. This comprehensive program integrates the study of numerous filmmaking disciplines, including screenwriting, visual storytelling, directing, editing, and producing.
Graduates of the Film Production master of fine arts degree program leave prepared for the professional film industry and are equipped with a range of technical and creative skills needed for career success.
We are seeking candidates with industry experience in post-production audio, including sound design, foley, ADR, sound editing and audio mixing. Proficiency using audio tools such as Pro Tools, and the Avid S6 Console is required. Experience or knowledge of post-production workflows for feature films or television shows preferred. The Film Thesis V:
Film Assembly course covers audio editing in Full Sail’s state-of-the-art dubbing stage, working with students to design and sound edit their films and integrate various audio elements into a final mixed soundtrack. Course Directors may be required to teach both on-campus and online. All positions are full time, on-campus in Winter Park, FL.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create an environment of learning through effective teaching skills, maintain student-centered focus, and update curriculum to keep current and relevant to industry standards.
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and encourage active learning.
Create learning activities, including assignments, tests, quizzes and labs, and assess student outcomes in a timely manner through effective assessment and constructive feedback to students to support the learning process.
Perform lectures for campus courses, and hold scheduled virtual course meetings for online courses. Teaching will be conducted through on-campus and online delivery.
Interact positively with diverse student populations; provide all students with equal opportunities for learning.
Demonstrate a commitment to the industry, maintain knowledge and skill relevancy through continuing education as defined in the faculty development plan.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and editing for grammar and punctuation
Ability to provide detailed formative and summative feedback on student projects
Ability to multi-task while working independently and collaboratively with other teachers and university staff
Ability to interact professionally and constructively with students and staff at all levels in an immersive, fast paced environment
Education and/or
Experience:
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of four (4) years related and verifiable work experience and be required to hold a terminal MFA in Film, Film & Television Production, Music Technology, Recording Arts, Audio Engineering, Acoustics, or related discipline.

Skills:
Minimum four-year experience in the film industry is required. The industry experience would include post-production audio.
Proficiency in audio tools such as Pro Tools and the Avid S6 Console.
Experience or knowledge of film theory and aesthetics is preferred.
Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, Excel, Keynote/PowerPoint and Outlook.
Working knowledge of professional practices and production techniques.
Experience working in production, including but not limited to film, television or commercial production, with IMDb credits preferred.
