Summary
As a Greeter, you will welcome guests to the hotel, hospital or casino and local areas in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner. Assist with guest inquiries, directions, and initial questions about the facility or services.
Essential Functions- Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, patients, coworkers, and clients (25%).
- Answer the telephone promptly and politely, using proper salutation of the day (25%).
- Demonstrate a willingness and ability to assist others, monitor and respond to emergencies on a priority basis (10%).
- Use proper phone etiquette. Assist visitors with directions, information, and other inquiries (15%).
- Provide guests or patients with information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and main attractions in the area; maintain confidentiality; deliver requested items (15%).
- Report accidents and incidents immediately to Guest Service Coordinator or Account Manager; operate equipment safely; be knowledgeable of hospital disaster codes and response plans (10%).
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Other requirements: Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a criminal background and drug screen.
Experience: 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge: Understanding of equipment such as telephones, codes and alarms, two‑way radios, disaster phone, fire panel, surveillance system.
Skills: Ability to read, speak, and write standard English; comprehend simple instructions and memos; write simple correspondence; understand 24‑hour and military time; general typing and basic computer skills; prioritize tasks and remain calm in stressful situations.
Scope of AuthorityThe job is routine, follows established practices and procedures, decisions within specific operational instructions and guidelines.
CompensationThe hourly base pay range for this position is $16.50 plus a $2 overnight differential.
Work ScheduleOvernights.

Working Conditions & Physical DemandsWork includes talking or hearing, sitting or standing for extended periods, walking, running, handling objects, climbing stairs, balance, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling. Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment. Lifting: up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 25 lbs frequently, or >10 lbs constantly.
Environment:
Mainly climate‑controlled; may encounter inclement weather or temperature variations. Travel up to 5% required.
