Regulatory Consultant; Wt: MS Compliance Officer

The Regulatory Consultant (MS Compliance Officer I) serves the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Division of Motorist Services, processing applications and providing customer service for International Registration Plan (IRP) and International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) services. The role involves examining documents, making eligibility determinations, issuing credentials, processing payments, and responding to inquiries from carriers, tax collectors, and other stakeholders via phone, email, and in-person interaction.

• Ability to review materials for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal and state motor vehicle registration laws and IRP/IFTA procedures
• Ability to perform mathematical computations correctly and manage customer conflicts constructively
• Proficiency with computer applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to create clear written correspondence
• Knowledge of confidential information handling and customer service skills including cultural sensitivity and professional communication
• Ability to work standard business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday) with occasional overtime
