Job Overview
Position: Part‑Time Dental Assistant Instructor
Location: Tallahassee, FL (In‑Person)
Schedule: Saturdays, 7:30am – 6:30pm (breaks included). Teaching schedule may vary based on class availability.
Compensation: $28–$30/hr, depending on experience.
What You'll Do- Demonstrate chairside procedures and clinical techniques.
- Teach radiology fundamentals and safety protocols.
- Coach students during hands‑on lab practice.
- Provide performance feedback and skills assessments.
- Maintain infection control and classroom safety standards.
- Foster a supportive, structured learning environment.
Dental assistants — DA, RDA or EFDA — who want to keep practicing during the week while stepping into a mentorship role on Saturdays and who are ready to make an impact beyond the chair.
Requirements- 5+ years of dental assisting or chairside experience.
- Active Radiology Certification.
- CPR/BLS Certification.
- Strong communicator: able to explain clinical procedures clearly to learners with no prior experience.
- Able to commute to location.
- Nice‑to‑haves: prior teaching or mentoring experience, Dentrix familiarity, leadership background.
