Salary: $64,000.00 to $70,000.00 Annually
Position SummaryThis position spends the majority of its time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, and planning and directing employees’ work. The administrator has authority over hiring, transfer, suspension, layoff, recall, promotion, discharge, assignment, reward, or discipline of subordinate employees or to recommend such action.
Key Responsibilities- Provides programmatic leadership for the Consumer Directed Care Plus (CDC+) Program, supporting clients in self‑direction of services.
- Serves as program team leader, identifying and developing solutions to programmatic issues.
- Reviews and develops policies, procedures, and guidelines, evaluating their impact on CDC+ and other agency areas.
- Provides technical assistance and policy interpretation to state and regional office staff regarding the CDC+ Program.
- Develops, plans and implements activities such as consumer enrollment/disenrollment, purchasing plan, training, technical assistance, outreach, and monitors plan updates, health and safety issues, background screening, and alerts staff as needed.
- Works with state and federal reporting entities, represents the Agency in departmental work groups related to CDC+, and participates in administrative, planning, and budgeting activities.
- Coordinates and makes CDC+ programmatic data requests to management; identifies system enhancements and develops functional requirements for APDIT to code and perform user acceptance testing.
- Assists with oversight and direction of the quality assurance functions for the CDC+ Program, ensuring federal 1915J assurances are met, including the annual Participant Satisfaction Survey, Program Self-Assessment, and Plan of Actions.
- Assists with CDC+ Program audit requests and prepares responses, including research and development of agency correspondence related to the program.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of experience in health and human services or education.
- Three or more years’ experience supervising two or more staff.
Knowledge of:
- Methods of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data for monitoring and evaluating staff.
- The structure and content of the English language, including meaning, spelling, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Developmental disability services system in Florida and the mission of the program.
- The advocacy network, family groups, and organizations in Florida.
- Generic community supports and services.
Ability to:
- Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and prepare reports.
