Good Smiles, a vibrant, private general dental practice in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking an experienced, full-time Dental Assistant/Hygiene Assistant with Expanded Functions (EFDA) certification. This role is a fantastic opportunity to join an amazing and energetic dental team, utilizing your skills in chairside assisting, digital radiography, and patient care to contribute to the practice's continued success.

• $17 - $19 per hour
• Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Monday
- Thursday: 7:30a.m.−4:30p.m. (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are typically closed).

• License & Certification:
  Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) Certification is required.
• Expanded Dental Functions (EFDA) certification is required.
• Proven experience and skill in chairside dental assisting.
• Proficiency in operating dental digital radiography equipment.
• Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
• Must be an energetic, detail-oriented, and people-person with strong verbal skills and a team player attitude.
• Ability to commute to the Tallahassee, FL area (ZIP code 32308).

• Prior experience in a private general dental practice setting.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute positively to an existing team dynamic.

• Excel at chairside assisting the Dentist or Hygienist with a wide range of general dental procedures.
• Proficiently operate and utilize dental digital radiography equipment.
• Manage and accurately utilize medical/dental software (including Dentrix) for patient charting and record-keeping.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring a focus on tasks, efficiency, and cleanliness.
• Maintain a caring, cheerful, and outgoing demeanor to ensure excellent patient relations.
• Demonstrate strong multi-tasking abilities and a capacity to work effectively under pressure.
• Focus on detailed execution of all assigned tasks and demonstrate strong verbal communication skills.
