Job Summary

HCA Florida Healthcare is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join a growing and dynamic Colorectal Surgery practice.

We are looking for a dedicated professional to support our colorectal surgery team. The role involves patient care, procedural assistance, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

• PA board certification
• Join 2 colorectal surgeons
• 2 years of experience
• Active or eligible for state (FL) license
• Strong clinical judgement and procedural skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Must be committed, willing to collaborate, and enthusiastic about taking care of patients
• Responsibilities to include:
  • Work closely with providers to provide continuity of patient care
  • See follow-up and post‑op patients independently
  • Patient education regarding pre‑op, hospital, and post‑op expectations with phone call follow up post discharge
  • Assist in minor office procedures (anal scope, thrombosis hemorrhoids drainage, rubber banding, and skin tag removal)
  • Follow up on all tests ordered to ensure completion and review results (including postop pathology)
  • Communicate with the Oncology navigator to facilitate the coordination of care
  • Provide day‑to‑day clinical job functions related to triage/patient care
