Position Overview Healthcare and Emergency Solutions is seeking a Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and oversight for all medical services within the correctional facility. This role ensures high‑quality care delivery, provider performance, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities Provide clinical and administrative oversight of medical services
Develop, implement, and enforce clinical policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with NCCHC, ACA, and state healthcare regulations
Collaborate with nursing, behavioral health, and administrative leadership
Provide direct patient care as operational needs require
Required Qualifications MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Florida medical license
Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Demonstrated healthcare leadership or administrative experience
Ability to pass a correctional facility security background check
Preferred Qualifications Certified Correctional Health Professional – Physician (CCHP‑P)
Prior correctional healthcare leadership experience
Experience with chronic disease management, infectious disease, or behavioral health populations
