Job Summary:

We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our infectious disease team. As a Physician Assistant/Acute Care NP, you will examine patients, collect medical histories, and make tentative diagnoses for both minor and major issues. You will interpret diagnostic tests and reports, explain test results and medical diagnoses to patients, and prescribe therapy or medication with physician approval.

The ideal candidate has excellent bedside manner, experience in charting within a medical environment, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Examine each patient, take detailed medical histories, and document all relevant information
• Read test results, interpret data accurately, and make diagnostic suggestions
• Explain test results and expected health outcomes to patients
• Prescribe medication or therapy under physician supervision as part of a comprehensive health plan
• Collaborate with nurses, Physician Assistants, and Physicians to develop a complete treatment plan

Qualifications:

• Valid state licensing required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with medical terminology, charting, and diagnostic testing
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
