Practice Environment

The ED serves as a high-acuity trauma-capable environment supporting approximately 50-70 patients daily seasonally, with flexibility to work at both the main hospital and associated FSEDs. The facility is designed for efficiency and quality, with modern amenities and comprehensive imaging capabilities. Providers operate within a busy, state-of-the-art setting actively managing surges, strokes, and critical alerts with dedicated multidisciplinary support.

Coverage Model

• 12-hour provider shifts covering day and night
• Minimum of 6-8 shifts guaranteed per month
• Support from APPs during peak times
• Coverage at both main hospital and FSEDs as needed

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluation, management, and disposition of emergency patients
• Triage, patient assessment, and protocols adherence
• Performing phlebotomy during surges or critical events
• Using Meditech P-doc EMR, M-Modal Dictation, and imaging tools
• Managing patients with stroke, sepsis, and other critical conditions within an AHCA Primary Stroke Center environment

Candidate Requirements

• MD degree
• Active Florida medical license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• ACLS certification
• Willingness to work at main hospital and affiliated FSEDs
• Flexibility to work day, night, and weekend shifts
