This hospital in Fort Myers, Florida maintains the clinical infrastructure and established protocols necessary to support gastroenterology coverage across inpatient and outpatient settings. The facility is structured to ensure continuity of specialized care for the adult patient population served, with APP support available at multiple locations. Locum tenens gastroenterology coverage is sought beginning in October through the remainder of the year and into 2027.

Fort Myers, located on the coast of Southwest Florida, offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and cultural attractions. Notable destinations include the historic Edison and Ford Winter Estates, Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, and opportunities for nature and wildlife tours throughout the region. The area also features beaches, waterways, flea and street markets, and dining options, with year-round activities such as kayaking and fishing available to those seeking outdoor recreation.

The gastroenterologist will provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology coverage on a day shift basis, with hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, extended as patient volume requires. Clinical responsibilities include managing 8-12 consults and 2-8 procedures per day across inpatient and outpatient settings. Clinicians must be open to covering both inpatient and outpatient needs, with inpatient EUS and ERCP experience preferred though not required.

Call coverage is required and may be scheduled every night or every other night; APP support is available at multiple locations.
