Overview
Rasmussen University, Odessa, FL. The Campus Admissions Specialist works in a team environment to support the admissions team and the campus at large in operating efficiently and effectively while serving students, the team and our community. The role leverages experience in an operations/administrative capacity to support all programs on campus, with a focus on admissions. The Campus Admissions Specialist serves as a resource for the campus admissions team, campus operations, and the Campus Executive Director.
This position requires handling and gathering sensitive documents/records with strict adherence to University policies, including FERPA in handling student information.
Admissions Support – 70%
- Maintain, track, and collect documents (electronic and paper) generated at the campus, including background checks, immunizations, and other admissions-related requirements for enrollment.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation, state, federal, and University standards.
- Monitor performance metrics related to admissions processes.
- Assist with outreach to prospective students, including collecting required documents and potentially setting appointments for the admissions team.
- Apply working knowledge of student account services, re-entry process, transfer credits, scheduling, and financial aid to guide students through enrollment efficiently.
- Build strong relationships with prospective and current students by listening and identifying needs.
- Adhere to institutional, governmental, and accreditation policies, regulations, and codes of conduct.
- Represent the University accurately and professionally in interactions with students, staff, and constituents.
- Foster a positive team environment with accountability and dependability in productivity and conduct.
- Support policy and procedural changes to enhance student success and University outcomes.
- Lead or assist with tracking student immunizations and other outstanding enrollment steps.
- Collaborate with campus activities and events on and off campus, including student orientations and career fairs.
- Demonstrate commitment to Rasmussen University’s mission, vision, and values daily, promoting diversity and inclusion.
Administrative/Front Desk – 20%
- Assist with processing invoices and submitting to accounts payable.
- Assist with opening/closing the campus and serve as a campus point person.
- Manage the campus community calendar and reserve rooms for courses and guests.
- Process, reconcile, and prepare mail and packages.
- Oversight of front desk activities, including guiding Student Ambassadors.
- Escalate concerns including work schedules and front desk coverage.
- Answer and route incoming calls to appropriate departments.
- Assist with maintenance and appearance of the front desk/welcome area.
- Assist with onboarding of new hires as necessary.
Other Duties – 10%
- Perform other duties as requested.

Reporting RelationshipsThe Campus Admissions Specialist reports to the Campus Executive Director.
Requirements- 1 to 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, service-focused or sales setting.
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage interruptions and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team and with other departments.
- Self-motivated, flexible, positive and solutions-oriented.
- Strong customer service skills; some sales ability encouraged.
- Strict adherence to institutional, governmental, and accreditation policies, regulations, and codes of conduct.
- Accurately and professionally represents the University in interactions with students, staff, and constituents.
