Subtitle/Areas: STARTING SALARY Based on classification and pay plan for Classified employees:
Grade 18 $ 16.68 p/h (HS Diploma and Para Pro min score 457 or 60 hrs college credit in core curriculumviens);
Grade 19 $ 17.06 p/h (AA / AS or higher)

Qualifications / Certifications PARAPROFESSIONAL I (GRADE 18) – Education & Experience (REQUIRED)- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education, or successful completion of the Para Pro test with a score of 457 or higher.
- Experience working with children.
- Hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (preschool level);
- Possess a State-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds CDA requirements;
- Be enrolled in a program leading to an associate or bachelor’s degree;
- Be enrolled in a CDA credential program, with the expectation of completion within 2 years of hire.
- Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required.
- Experience working with children.
- Valid State Driver’s License.
