Duration & Type: Full-Time, School-Year Schedule
Compensation & Benefits: Salary range of $50,000 to $62,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Full benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and wellness programs.

This role is ideal for an experienced surgical professional who is ready to transition into an instructional and leadership position, shaping the next generation of Surgical Technologists through hands‑on teaching, curriculum leadership, and student mentorship. - Teach and mentor secondary dual-enrolled and post-secondary students in Surgical Technology programs.
- Deliver and manage Career and Technical Education curriculum aligned with district, state, and post-secondary standards.
- Create and maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
- Oversee student testing, skills assessments, program evaluations, and instructional outcomes.
- Incorporate industry trends, employer feedback, and performance data to continuously improve instruction.
- Support and advise student organizations such as Skills
USA or HOSA. - Collaborate with faculty, administration, and community partners to strengthen program outcomes.
- Participate in accreditation activities, advisory committee meetings, and institutional events.
- Maintain classrooms, equipment, instructional materials, and program records.
- Represent the program within the community and support recruitment and student success initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or Associate degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or High School diploma or GED with at least 3 years of experience in the CTE or Surgical Technology field.
- Eligibility for certification as a Career and Technical Education instructor in the appropriate subject area, or ability to obtain state certification.
- Nationally or state-recognized Surgical Technology certification approved by the Florida Department of Education.
- Strong knowledge of Surgical Technology equipment, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage and engage diverse student groups.
- Effective classroom management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Student-centered teaching approach with the ability to motivate and support learners.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and adapt to evolving instructional needs.
- Experience supporting student organizations such as Skills
USA or HOSA. (Preferred) - Familiarity with CTE regulations, accreditation requirements, and instructional standards. (Preferred)
