Lower School Part-Time Music Educator - Clark RoadThe Out-of-Door Academy seeks a Lower School Part-Time Music Educator to join our Clark Road Campus and contribute to a forward-thinking school dedicated to creativity, real-world application, and student-centered learning.
ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Head of Lower School at Clark Road, the Lower School Part-Time Music Educator at Clark Road will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and implement an engaging, developmentally appropriate general music curriculum for Prekindergarten through third grade.
- Lead, direct, and prepare students for performance throughout the year.
- Foster a love of music through singing, movement, rhythm, and instrumental instruction.
- Prepare students to perform in concerts and other events.
- Collaborate with the Out-of-Door music department across the three campuses.
- Organize and direct school concerts, performances, and community engagement opportunities.
- Be an active member of the Florida Music Educators Association.
- Live the school’s mission and core values of respect, integrity, service, excellence, and responsibility.
- Bachelor’s Degree in music education or performance required;
Master's Degree preferred. - Experience teaching general music education, ideally in an independent school setting.
- Orff, Musikgarten, or Lower School Music Certification (F1 K-1) preferred.
- Passion for learning and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Strong organization and classroom management skills.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, and the Google drive platform.
- A successful track record of working effectively with a wide range of constituencies including students, faculty, staff and parents.
This is a 10-month part-time exempt position available in August 2026. Compensation is highly competitive and commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
