- OPS Museum Education Program Specialist (Living History Interpreter) Position Opening
High School Diploma or equivalent
Available to work weekends on a regular basis and provide staffing for Mission San Luis as needed
Six months’ experience working and interacting with people
Resume and cover letter detailing experience
Preferences:
Bachelor’s degree in education, museum studies, social studies, history, anthropology, theater, fine arts, or related fields or four years of experience in a similar field
Experience working at a museum or similar cultural site in either a paid or unpaid position

Duties and Responsibilities:
Give introductions, tours, and programs to student and adult groups at Mission San Luis
Work outside in period correct clothing in varying weather conditions
Conduct site opening and closing procedures
Present period crafts and/or demonstrations
Help create and implement site programming
Staff special events at Mission San Luis as needed
Other educational duties as directed by supervisor
