Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CTE (Career and Technical Education) Teacher specializing in Welding to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques and safety, a passion for teaching, and the ability to inspire and prepare students for careers in the welding industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive welding curriculum that meets state standards and industry requirements.
* Teach students various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
* Instruct students on the proper use and maintenance of welding equipment and tools.
* Emphasize safety procedures and ensure a safe learning environment.
* Assess student performance through tests, projects, and practical assessments.
* Provide individualized instruction and support to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Collaborate with other CTE teachers and industry partners to enhance the welding program.
* Stay current with industry trends and advancements in welding technology.
* Prepare students for certification exams and entry-level employment in the welding field.

Qualifications:
* Valid teaching certification in CTE or a related field.

Under general supervision, this position will be responsible for instructing high school students (grades 9-12) in welding techniques and safety practices in alignment with the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) requirements. This role involves designing curriculum, delivering hands-on training, and fostering an engaging, safe learning environment that encourages skill development, problem-solving, and career exploration in welding.
SPECIFIC
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
