- Assists in the management of the review and referral process for all domestic and international graduate applicants, including readmission and non‑degree applicants.
- Evaluates all domestic and international applications for graduate admission to the University, including readmission and non‑degree seeking. Evaluates the accreditation of foreign academic institutions and interprets varied grading systems, converting them to U.S. equivalencies, and calculating grade point averages. Assists in the notification of incomplete graduate applications via email and phone.
- Maintains extensive contact via email, phone, and personal communication with other FSU departments, faculty members, departmental representatives, and prospective students, interpreting policies and procedures. Engages frequently with officials from other colleges and universities. Occasionally contacts representatives from ETS and other testing agencies.
- Provides supervision and training to employees, including those who do not directly report to this position.
- Supports business processes related to application management, including Slate payment processing, application materials handling, queries, and reports.
- Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and five years of experience (combination of post‑high‑school education and experience equal to five years).
- Experience with Slate.
- Detail‑oriented and accurate performance in a fast‑moving environment.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Strong working relationship building skills.
- Ability to meet project deadlines.
- Effective communication via telephone and email.
- Energetic, initiative‑driven, and detail‑oriented candidates.
