Job Summary
The teacher role is for educators who have a commitment and passion for educating girls. Our year‑round program, featuring small class sizes, provides multiple benefits to students and their families as they receive wraparound support in education and social services. Spirited Girls! is a class developed by Pace to support girls’ development of soft skills, self‑efficacy, confidence and life skills. The customized curriculum promotes learning around healthy development in Knowledge of Self, Development of Positive Attitudes, Relationships, Peer Pressure, Individual Responsibility, Decision Making, Problem Solving, Leadership Skills, Life Management Skills, Employability Skills, and Career Planning.

- Design standards‑based lesson plans and align instruction to effectively teach across multiple, possibly mixed, grade level classes.
- Use formal and informal assessment to monitor progress and plan instruction to meet girls’ individual needs.
- Plan lessons for all classes using differentiated instructional techniques and strategies to foster an engaging learning environment.
- Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that is girl‑centered, trauma‑informed, and strength‑based.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning environment, ensuring student engagement, respect, and adherence to center policies.
- Develop, monitor, and update Progress Monitoring Plans in collaboration with learners.
- Conduct academic advising sessions and utilize data to assess girls’ academic growth, documenting progress in the student data platform.
