Science/Robotics Instructor – P09701 (Tallahassee Collegiate Academy)
We are seeking a dedicated professional to serve as a Science/Robotics Instructor at Tallahassee Collegiate Academy (TCA). The instructor will report to the Director and will be a key instructional leader, ensuring a student‑centered learning environment.
What You’ll Do- Provide for the safety and welfare of all students.
- Deliver instruction that contributes to academic growth and positive development of students.
- Demonstrate subject‑matter knowledge.
- Assess student progress and report findings to parents and school officials at scheduled intervals.
- Plan, organize, and create a positive classroom learning environment.
- Maintain student discipline and enforce school policies.
- Organize and participate in school activities outside of the regular schedule.
- Collaborate with instructional staff to coordinate activities and resources across the curriculum.
- Support colleagues in delivering instruction within areas of specialization.
- Assist with management and supervision of students throughout the school day.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Implement project‑based and place‑based educational experiences following curriculum guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive learning community atmosphere.
- Maintain the confidentiality of student information as required by law and school policy.
Position is 10 months, reporting to the principal.
Who We’re Looking For- Bachelor’s degree and a valid Florida teaching certificate for the subject and grade level taught.
- Alternatively, valid Florida teaching certificate with coverage outside the standard Course Code Directory or recognition as qualified non‑certified instructional personnel with expertise under Rule 6A‑1.0502, F.A.C.
- Preference for candidates holding Reading, Gifted, or ESOL endorsements, and those with multiple certifications.
