Overview
Abeka Educational Consultant (Secondary). The Educational Consultant provides expertise and support to educators, school districts, and educational institutions in the implementation and optimization of our curriculum solutions. The Consultant supports the Field Sales Office team by providing curriculum presentations, teacher training, and classroom coaching. The Consultant assists in planning and preparation of sales events, training seminars, and other venues designed to help Christian school instructors maximize the Abeka curriculum and improve teaching skills.
The Consultant travels extensively to advise customers, Sales Reps, and teachers.
- Curriculum Training & Support:
Act as subject experts on Abeka curriculum and classroom implementation. Train sales representatives, Customer Service Agents, and distributors concerning Abeka curriculum. Conduct onboard training programs for new sales representatives. Provide support as needed in the acquisition of new accounts and expansion of Abeka products and services. - Workshop Facilitation:
Prepare and present workshops at Field Rep training events, on- and off-campus clinics, conventions, and other educational events. Conduct regional and local in-service meetings. Demonstrate the effectiveness of the Abeka curriculum at on- and off-campus events, including Christian school and homeschool conventions. - Curriculum Implementation Support:
Provide in-school observation and coaching on teaching methods. Visit schools upon request and conduct classroom observations. Conduct coaching sessions with documentation. Provide training in schools to help administrators and educators effectively utilize the Abeka curriculum. - Research & Development:
Research and prepare training programs for Sales Reps, Customer Service Agents, and customers. Research and develop content for teacher meetings, teacher talk live, and other client-facing content. Obtain and research curriculum from other publishers providing a detailed analysis. Assist in planning and preparing other sales office calendar events. - Additional duties as assigned to support Field Sales Office and curriculum implementation.
- Education Required:
College Degree – Education;
Education Preferred: MS – Education. - Work Experience
Required:
5+ years teaching with Abeka materials.
Preferred Experience:
10+ years teaching with Abeka materials. - Skills:
Communication, Interpersonal Relationships, Microsoft Office; must be willing to travel extensively. - Professional Attributes:
