Abeka Educational Consultant (Elementary)

Job Summary

The Educational Consultant provides expertise and support to educators, school districts, and educational institutions in the implementation and optimization of Abeka curriculum solutions. The Consultant supports the Field Sales Office team by delivering curriculum presentations, teacher training, and classroom coaching, and assists in planning and preparing sales events, training seminars, and other venues designed to help Christian school instructors maximize the Abeka curriculum and improve teaching skills.

The Consultant travels extensively, advising customers, sales representatives, and teachers.

Responsibilities
  • Research and develop training programs for Sales Representatives, Customer Service Agents, and customers.
  • Assist in planning and preparing sales office calendar events.
  • Research and develop content for teacher meetings, teacher talks, and other client‑facing content.
  • Obtain and analyze curriculum from other publishers.
  • Act as subject experts on Abeka curriculum and classroom implementation.
  • Train sales representatives, Customer Service Agents, and distributors concerning Abeka curriculum.
  • Conduct onboard training program for new sales representatives.
  • Provide support as needed in acquisition of new accounts and expansion of Abeka products and services.
  • Prepare and present workshops at Field Rep training events, clinic sessions, conventions, and other educational events.
  • Conduct regional and local in‑service meetings.
  • Work with customers directly at on‑and‑off‑campus events including Christian school and homeschool conventions.
  • Provide in‑school observation and coaching on teaching methods; visit schools upon request and conduct classroom observations.
  • Conduct coaching sessions with documentation.
  • Provide training in schools to help administrators and educators effectively utilize the Abeka curriculum.
Qualifications
  • FLSA Status:
    Professional (Exempt).
  • Education:

    College degree in Education required;
    Master’s degree in Education preferred.
  • Work Experience:

    5+ years teaching with Abeka materials required; 10+ years preferred.
  • Physical

    Requirements and Skills:

    Communication, detail orientation, interpersonal relationships, Microsoft Office, willingness to travel extensively.
