Overview
This position is in person at Barry University in Miami Shores. The university is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach courses in our Advertising and Public Relations program.
Applicants should hold a master’s degree or equivalent in Advertising, Public Relations, Communication, or a related field. Courses include Persuasion, Crisis Communications, and related subjects.
DeadlineApplications will be reviewed on a per-semester basis as needed.
Responsibilities- Produce a comprehensive syllabus for each course.
- Create, administer, and evaluate exams, papers, and projects.
- Employ appropriate academic online resources (e.g., Canvas).
- Schedule at least one office hour per week per course section to address student questions, issues, and concerns.
- Master’s degree or higher in Communication or a closely related area.
- 18 graduate hours in Speech/Communication discipline or a closely related area.
- Previous experience in higher education preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
