School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Lake Placid, Florida

Location: Lake Placid

Step into a dynamic school-based setting where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will make a meaningful impact on students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This rewarding full-time, onsite contract opportunity for the  academic year runs from August to May, providing consistency and the chance to truly connect with students and faculty alike.

You'll work with in a supportive educational environment, utilizing your SLP knowledge and clinical skills to help students achieve their communication goals. This K-12 role offers variety in your caseload and the satisfaction of seeing progress over the course of the year.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid SLP-CCC certification
• Experience or strong interest in servicing school-aged children
• Enthusiastic communicator comfortable working with students, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Ability to adapt intervention strategies to diverse developmental and learning needs
• Organizational and documentation skills to monitor student progress

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language assessments for K-12 students
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide direct therapy services in group and one-on-one settings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff for student success
• Maintain timely records, progress notes, and communication logs
• Participate in meetings and provide professional insights to multidisciplinary teams
