Department: Office of Accessibility Services | Department of Student Support & Transitions
Responsibilities- Reviews documentation and collaborates with students to determine applicable and reasonable accommodations (e.g., academic, housing, dietary, and transportation).
- Assists students in determining available resources and services, maintaining current and detailed case notes within the OAS AIM system.
- Acts as a liaison between faculty/staff and students by facilitating the interactive process and resolving concerns to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
- Assists in awareness of and resolution of concerns with physical access (e.g., Maxient Reports).
- Maintains knowledge of applicable laws (ADA/ADAAA, Section 504/508, FERPA) and upholds confidentiality and discretion.
- Supports the development, interpretation, and implementation of policies and procedures concerning access and reasonable accommodations.
- Assists with the development and implementation of internal and external, independent and collaborative programming (e.g., workshops, trainings, event orientations).
- Assists in planning and executing accommodated testing during Finals Week, including alternative schedules and extended hours.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to coverage of other OAS or DSST roles and responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and six years of relevant experience (or a combination of post‑high‑school education and experience equal to six years).
