Position: Teaching Faculty - Undergrad Clinical-focused, 12 Month Salaried (multiple vacancies) - College of Nursing

Responsibilities

The FSU College of Nursing is seeking to hire collaborative educators to teach in our in-person, on-campus undergraduate clinical-focused program, based in Tallahassee, Florida (FL). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide clinical nursing instruction in community health, pediatrics, or mental health.
  • Promote student success through highly engaged teaching.
  • Participate in planning, organizing, and developing curriculum.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and mentor students.
  • Appropriately document student progress in clinical sessions.
  • Participate in and meaningfully contribute to departmental and team meetings.
  • Provide academic service and educational excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
These roles focus on high-quality clinical instruction in the undergraduate nursing program and support the college's mission to prepare practice-ready, compassionate nurse leaders. Faculty are expected to be actively engaged in teaching, student mentorship and academic service in a collaborative, on-campus environment.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Active FL Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license; or licensed in another state with eligibility to obtain FL licensure within 30 days of hire.
  • Candidates must have relevant teaching experience in pediatrics, mental health, or community health.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff at all levels within a collaborative environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook or equivalent software.
  • Experience supervising and training employees.
  • Experience meeting project deadlines.
  • PhD preferred.

This is a Faculty position.
