Job Overview
Adjunct Faculty – Ethical Hacking (CMIT 321) – a course focused on penetration‑testing tools and techniques to strengthen network security and protect data from potential attackers. The position is located onsite at Eglin Air Force Base, FL.
LocationEglin Air Force Base, Florida (on‑site teaching).
Responsibilities- Actively engage adult learners through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed.
- Guide students in active collaboration and the application of learning in problem‑ and project‑based demonstrations.
- Provide rich and regular constructive feedback using rubrics and acknowledge student accomplishments.
- Demonstrate up‑to‑date subject‑matter expertise and help students connect concepts across the program.
- Offer feedback to the program chair on possible curricular improvements.
- Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Active and current certification in CCNA, Linux, or CEH.
- Professional experience in Computer Networking and Security.
- Experience teaching adult learners online or in higher education is strongly preferred.
Salary commensurate with experience; rates per credit hour vary by rank and terminal degree status (examples: Instructor Step 1 $ 806‑$1,050 and Adjunct Professor Terminal Step 1 $ 1,347‑$1,645).
