Assistant/Associate Professor in Counselor Education
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Position Type: 9‑Month Salaried, Tenure‑Track
Responsibilities- Maintain a strong program of research and scholarly activity in school counseling, and pursue external grant funding opportunities.
- Develop and teach graduate‑level courses online, face‑to‑face, and in blended learning environments.
- Mentor graduate students, serve on graduate student committees, and supervise graduate student research.
- Collaborate with colleagues, students, and alumni to strengthen the program community and identity.
- Provide service to the program, department, college, and profession.
- Support and participate in the CACREP accreditation processes in the Counselor Education Program.
- Supervise students in clinical practicum settings and maintain/in‑de‑velop relationships with area schools.
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Counselor Education (preferably from a CACREP‑accredited program) and meet CACREP core faculty eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience as a school counselor.
- Experience teaching in a graduate counselor‑education program.
- Experience teaching in online settings.
- Experience working with a diverse student body.
- Experience supervising school‑counseling students.
- Participation in CACREP accreditation processes.
- Evidence of strong scholarship and extramural research grant funding in school counseling.
