JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that includes preventative and responsive services while fostering academic, career, and social-emotional development.

Additional responsibilities may include teaching an additional period beyond the base contract, which will be compensated at the negotiated rate and added to base salary.

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Guidance and Counseling, School Counseling, or related field.

• OR Master’s degree from an accredited institution with a major in counseling other than school counseling that includes a minimum of 600 clock hours of supervised internship with school-aged children and their families, and at least 9 semester hours of graduate credit as defined in Florida Department of Education Rule 6A-4.0181.

• Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate in Guidance and Counseling or School Counseling PK-12.
