The Educator I teaches education curriculum and leads individual/group discussions. Overall, the Educator I contributes to the CHS high performance culture by exhibiting our values and providing quality results that position CHS as the leader in delivering proactive behavioral health, case management, community and early childhood solutions for children and families.

Responsibilities
  • Teach education curriculum and lead individual/group discussions.
    • Schedule classes/workshops, sites and instruction materials.
    • Review curriculum and prepare materials for class.
    • Present material, curriculum and video segments.
    • Facilitate discussion of class/workshop topic with participants.
    • Maintain necessary attendance records and statistical data; complete mandatory reports and forms in a timely manner.
    • Participate in the quality improvement process.
  • Contribute to a positive, engaging work environment.
    • Develop a strong knowledge base and stay current on job‑related issues and trends.
    • Participate actively in departmental meetings, training and education, as well as the quality process.
    • Comply with CHS’s code of conduct, policies, procedures and other obligations.
    • Assist with training other team members and providing backup when necessary.
    • Pick up projects on the fly; perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
    • Demonstrate the CHS Common Bond values in the performance of all job duties.
  • Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Florida Driver’s License within 30 days from hire is required, along with daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle.
    • Minimum of two years of experience working with at‑risk families and children or adolescents (required).
    • Teaching or training experience (preferred).
    • Effective interpersonal, organizational and presentational skills.
    • Knowledge of how to interact with diverse cultures, lead discussions, conceptualize and communicate effectively.
    • Computer proficiency sufficient to perform all essential functions.
    • Commitment to providing high customer satisfaction with positive service delivery results.
    • Energetic, passionate, adaptable with a deep commitment to social service, empathy for children and families and a positive approach to embracing and managing change.
    • Self‑directed and able to perform at a high level of autonomy with general supervision.
    • Ability to perform under strong demands in fast‑paced, diverse, sometimes ambiguous environments.
    • Ability to handle highly stressful, sensitive situations; maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
    • Meet critical deadlines while maintaining attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
    • Demonstrate behaviors of CHS Common Bond Values.
