Salary: $58,343.43 – $69,270.56 (Entry Level Salary Schedule 0‑30 years of experience)

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Hold an active Florida Educator’s Certificate.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, high energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Master’s Degree (preferred).
  • Florida Educator’s Leadership Exam (preferred).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to motivate diverse students and cultivate a strong culture of achievement.
  • Knowledge of laws, rules, and policies related to student discipline and attendance.
  • Proficiency in using technology for data analysis, communication, and administrative tasks.
  • Ability to apply principles of group dynamics, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Understanding of PBIS frameworks and ability to implement tiered behavioral supports.
JOB GOAL

To create and maintain a safe, orderly, and engaging school environment that enables students to achieve maximum benefit from all programs and services through proactive, positive behavior support systems.

PLANNING & PREPARATION
  • Develop long‑ and short‑term plans based on student needs and district priorities.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a school‑wide philosophy of discipline and PBIS.
  • Plan and conduct safety programs and drills, including follow‑up documentation.
  • Prepare intervention strategies to support a safe and orderly environment.
  • Lead PBIS team meetings and support school‑wide behavior expectations.
  • Assist in identifying curriculum and service needs.
STUDENT BEHAVIOR / MANAGEMENT
  • Supervise and monitor student behavior and follow up on incidents, including SESIR reporting.
  • Process discipline referrals and enforce school rules and policies.
  • Maintain discipline and attendance records.
  • Conduct investigations and due process procedures.
  • Recommend disciplinary actions including suspension or expulsion in coordination with the principal.
  • Support safe student transportation by handling bus discipline referrals.
ASSESSMENT / MANAGEMENT
  • Use PBIS data to identify trends and adjust behavioral supports accordingly.
  • Analyze student data to inform discipline and PBIS practices.
  • Access individual student records as appropriate to assess academic and behavioral progress.
  • Observe and interview students individually and in groups for evaluation and improvement purposes.
INTERVENTION / DIRECT SERVICES
  • Supervise students during the school day and extracurricular activities.
  • Implement and monitor PBIS strategies and interventions across all tiers.
  • Provide guidance to teachers on implementing discipline and PBIS strategies.
COLLABORATION
  • Maintain liaison with community and legal agencies as needed.
  • Participate in parent‑teacher conferences and school meetings.
  • Promote PBIS initiatives through staff collaboration and family engagement.
  • Work with teachers, counselors, and administrators to foster a positive school climate.
PARENTAL INPUT
  • Interact positively with students, parents, and staff to resolve conflicts and promote learning.
  • Recognize signs of student distress or abuse and take appropriate action.
  • Communicate with parents and families to address student behavior and attendance.
  • Communicate and interpret District and building policies to students, parents, and staff.
TECHNOLOGY
  • Use digital tools for communication, reporting, and administrative tasks.
  • Use technology to monitor student behavior and attendance.
STAFF DEVELOPMENT
  • Conduct self‑assessments to identify areas for growth.
  • Participate in professional learning to stay current on best practices in discipline and PBIS.
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide training and mentoring to staff on PBIS and student welfare.
  • Perform other incidental tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.
