The Academy of Lake Hills South is a unique public school in southern Lake County, Florida which provides students in grades 6-12 who have Individual Education Plans with a comprehensive education where academic, behavioral, and therapeutic services and supports are infused throughout each school day. We provide timely and research-based professional development to all staff related to behaviors, crisis response, and teaching diverse learners.

Our diverse team of instructional and non-instructional staff work together to provide appropriate and individualized interventions to students.

The Teacher Assistant IST-B position will be responsible for providing academic assistance to students under the direction of the classroom teacher. Teacher Assistants may also support the behavior team with de-escalation strategies.
