The Academy of Lake Hills South is a unique public school in southern Lake County, Florida which provides students in grades 6-12 who have Individual Education Plans with a comprehensive education where academic, behavioral, and therapeutic services and supports are infused throughout each school day. We provide timely and research based professional development to all staff related to behaviors, crisis response, and teaching diverse learners.

Our diverse team of instructional and non-instructional staff work together to provide appropriate and individualized interventions to students.

The Teacher Assistant IST-B position will be responsible for providing academic assistance to students under the direction of the classroom teacher. Teacher Assistants may also support the behavior team with de-escalation strategies.
