Maclay School is looking for energetic and motivated substitute teachers to work with students at all levels, from Pre‑K 3 through 12th grade. The best candidates are flexible, dependable, and genuinely interested in working with children ages 3–18 within an educational setting. Formal teaching experience and/or a state teaching license are a plus, but we also welcome candidates with informal experience working with kids.

This is an as‑needed position with no guarantee of hours or days. Assignments are arranged through an app, and notifications sometimes come the day or night before — or even the morning of.

• High school diploma required;
  Bachelor's degree preferred
• Classroom experience preferred
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Must be able to execute teachers' lesson plans and maintain a professional classroom environment
• Ability to work positively and professionally with students, parents, and faculty
• High degree of professionalism, collegiality, and personal conduct, both in and outside of school
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across all school constituents
• Must successfully pass a Federal and FDLE background check
