SALARY RANGE$35,838.40 - $39,422.24 Annually $1,378.40 - $1,516.24 Bi-weekly
Position SummaryThe most important responsibility of the Vocational Instructor II SES is to implement programs for the developmentally disabled adults living at Sunland in the area of work options and consumer services. Areas of primary responsibility include but are not limited to Post Office, Bank, Clothing, Coffee Shop, etc.
The Work You Will DoPerform work of a technical nature which may require certification or license. This may include but is not limited to the following: operating a computer, sewing machine(s), skill saw, air compressor, driving a vehicle, postage meter, postage scales, kitchen appliances, cash register, etc.
Provide functional supervision of work trainees. Assume inventory responsibility as well as maintaining a clean and orderly environment. This position may provide acquisition programming to assigned workers.
In the areas of work training, the Vocational Instructor II SES is required to inventory transactions daily and compile as a unit monthly for accountability purposes. Prepare statistical reports as deemed necessary for the Center to accomplish its mission as well as department goals.
The Vocational Instructor II SES is required to complete at least annually assessments and develop objectives for active treatment plans. This also includes writing summaries of progress reports and addendums as necessary to Support Plans and discharge summaries. Attend Support Plan and Active Treatment meetings as required.
Designing and implementing work training programs to assist individuals accomplish goals and objectives as identified in their Support Plan. This includes safety, health and social skills that relate to their work assignments. This will also include functional supervision of trainees.
