What You’ll Do- Teach core academic subjects (you’ll be assigned one) to small groups of students
- Plan creative and interactive lessons that meet students where they are
- Build trust and create a safe space for learning and growth
- Track attendance and grades, and help students set goals
- Work with other educators to share ideas and build success
- Tutor students 1-on-1 or in small groups
- Use both in-person and digital tools (yes, we blend tech + human interaction)
- Be a mentor, motivator, and life-changer—all in a day’s work
- A mission-driven educator (or aspiring one) who believes in helping all students succeed
- Tech-savvy and comfortable navigating online learning platforms

- Bachelor’s Degree
- A valid Florida teaching certificate — or a temporary certificate / proof of enrollment in an EPI or MAT program
- Comfortable working full-time onsite at a DJJ facility
- Willing to attend professional development, meetings, and trainings
- Passionate about growth— both for your students and yourself
- Certification in ESE, Reading, ESOL, or Gifted Education
- Experience teaching in non-traditional settings or with at-risk youth
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
- Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Classroom)
- Online grading and learning platforms
- Digital curriculum tools
- Basic troubleshooting & digital communication
