Cast Member

City Year seeks Ameri Corps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. City Year offers comprehensive training, leadership development, and exposure to education and youth development careers in a mission-driven, inclusive culture dedicated to advancing educational equity.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to teachers through tutoring, small groups, and student engagement activities
• Deliver targeted academic interventions in subjects like math and literacy
• Build positive, consistent relationships with students to encourage attendance and behavior improvement
• Support social-emotional learning and foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment
• Collect and track student data to monitor progress and inform support strategies
• Participate in regular training, coaching, and professional development sessions
• Collaborate with fellow Ameri
• Corps members, school staff, and community partners on service initiatives
• Assist with school-wide events, family engagement activities, and enrichment programs
• Model City Year's values of service, equity, and inclusion in daily interactions
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture focused on student success
