Position: TRAINING TECHNICIAN with Security Clearance
Location: Hurlburt Field

Duties

SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of this position is to manage the 505 CCW Education and Training Program supporting approximately 1.900 military and civilian personnel assigned to 13 CONUS and 2 OCONUS locations. In this capacity, the 50 CCW Training Manager will serve as the OPR for military and civilian training issues by implementing and managing training policies and programs that support Air Force, HQ ACC, USAFWC and 505 CW mission requirements.

This position includes managing the following elements:
On-the-job training, formal school requests, Acquisition Professional Development Program, HQ USAF training initiatives, ancillary training, combat arms, chemical warfare and maintenance training, and HQ ACC training initiatives. DUTIES:
* Manages the military and civilian education and training program for 505 CCW units.
* On a regular and recurring basis, contacts management and key personnel to provide assistance in conducting OJT and continued proficiency training, to explain the goals and objectives of training, and to instruct on methods to be used and how to determine training needs and methods used in selecting personnel for special career executive development courses.
* Develops training policies, procedures, and processes to meet organizational demands.
* Works closely with Headquarters Air Combat Command and local resource personnel in projecting budgetary estimates for funding.
* Sole Advanced Distributed Learning System (ADLS) and Formal Training Manager for the Wing. Requirements Conditions of employment

* May be required to periodically work outside normal duty hours.
* May be required to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station via commercial or military aircraft. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, for the GS-1702, Education and Training Technician Series. EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-08, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes skill in operating a computer and associate software. Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identify job functions and training requirements, consider requests for training, development, and course requirements, and resolve procedural problems with training requests and training quota allocations.

Knowledge of organization management structure including administrative assignment of areas of responsibility based on assigned jobs, and to conduct qualitative analysis of work assigned to evaluate training requested and approve or disapprove requested training. Knowledge of military and civilian training requirements, programs, policies, and directives. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing sufficient to: develop/deliver reports and correspondence: foster understanding/ acceptance of program requirements;

presents arguments/advisory options.

EDUCATION:

Successfully completed graduate level education in a field directly related to this position which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

You must submit a copy of transcripts. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-08 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

NOTE:
