Our Organization and Mission:The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Position Summary:This position is located within the Training & Development Bureau of the Florida Office of the Attorney General (OAG) and is responsible for developing, reviewing, maintaining, and coordinating the agency’s continuity of operations plan (COOP) before, during, and after emergency disaster incidents to ensure mission-essential functions can continue with minimal or no disruption during all types of disaster-related emergencies. This position is responsible for COOP Review, Training, and Exercises to ensure the agency’s plan is current and executable.
Pay
: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 Annually
Qualifications:
- Seven (7) years of professional experience in developing, delivering and providing formal training. Govern mentor private sector emergency preparation and response work-related experience will also be considered qualified professional experience.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three years of professional experience developing, delivering, and providing formal training. Govern mentor private sector emergency preparation and response work-related experience will also be considered qualified professional experience.
- A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in education, communication, technical writing, curriculum development or the equivalent and two years of professional experience developing, delivering, and providing formal training. Govern mentor private sector emergency preparation and response work-related experience will also be considered qualified professional experience.
- A doctorate from an accredited college or university in education, communication, technical writing, curriculum development or the equivalent and one year of professional experience developing, delivering, and providing formal training. Govern mentor private sector emergency preparation and response work-related experience will also be considered qualified professional experience.
- 60 semester or 90 quarter hours of college course work from an accredited institution which includes four courses in education, communication, technical writing, curriculum development or the equivalent and six years of experience developing, delivering and providing formal training. Govern mentor private sector emergency preparation and response work-related experience will also be considered qualified professional experience.
- Completion of a 720-classroom hour program of study from a vocational/technical school or community college in technology and five years of experience developing, delivering and providing formal training. Govern mentor private sector emergency preparation and response work-related experience will also be considered qualified professional experience.
Preferences:
- Current and/or previous law enforcement or military background experience.
- Experience in emergency management/response or work-related field.
- Certification in Basic ICS (i.e. ICS-200, etc…) training by FEMA
- Strong background in training and curriculum development.
- Experience with Articulate 360 content development software.
- Experience with Learning Management System (LMS).
