Science Teacher

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking a combination Math and Science Teacher for the  school year at independent schools in the Sarasota
area.

• Teach a range of secondary-level math and science courses using engaging, inquiry-based, and experiential approaches.
• Design and implement interdisciplinary, project-based curriculum aligned with Montessori principles.
• Foster a classroom environment built on respect, collaboration, and student agency.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Serve as a mentor and advisor, supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application of knowledge.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create integrated learning experiences across disciplines.
• Maintain strong, authentic relationships with students and families.
• Participate fully in the life of the school, including community events, field studies, and experiential learning opportunities.

• Bachelor's degree (required);
  Master's degree in education, math, science, or related field (preferred).
• Experience teaching math and/or science at the secondary level.
• Montessori credential or willingness to learn about Montessori principles.
• Demonstrated ability to create highly engaging, student-centered learning environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the dignity of every student.

• Passion for math, science, and education.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, dynamic, and innovative school environment.
• Willingness to contribute to school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.

Compensation and benefit packages are competitive but will differ by school and will typically depend on geographic location, your experience, and your level of degree.
