- Teach a range of secondary-level math and science courses using engaging, inquiry-based, and experiential approaches.
- Design and implement interdisciplinary, project-based curriculum aligned with Montessori principles.
- Foster a classroom environment built on respect, collaboration, and student agency.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Serve as a mentor and advisor, supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application of knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create integrated learning experiences across disciplines.
- Maintain strong, authentic relationships with students and families.
- Participate fully in the life of the school, including community events, field studies, and experiential learning opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree (required);
Master's degree in education, math, science, or related field (preferred). - Experience teaching math and/or science at the secondary level.
- Montessori credential or willingness to learn about Montessori principles.
- Demonstrated ability to create highly engaging, student-centered learning environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the dignity of every student.
- Passion for math, science, and education.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, dynamic, and innovative school environment.
- Willingness to contribute to school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.
Compensation and benefit packages are competitive but will differ by school and will typically depend on geographic location, your experience, and your level of degree.
