As the leadership phase of the campaign begins, the Division of University Advancement is accelerating the hiring of additional advancement operations professionals' campus-wide and is excited to build out its team. ResponsibilitiesThe position is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing an alumni engagement plan that supports the Division of University Advancement's goals, leverages the advancement infrastructure of the Student Success Collective (SSC), Undergraduate Studies and FSU Libraries and adheres to Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) best practices and metrics. It leads college-wide initiatives that foster meaningful connections among students, alumni, donors, parents, friends and volunteers that contribute to philanthropic priorities.
The role also oversees collection, maintenance, and strategic use of alumni data.
Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive alumni engagement plan for FSU Libraries and Undergraduate Studies (UGS), through student and alumni enculturation programming, communications, activities and events. Foster participation in experiential learning, networking, philanthropy, and volunteerism by connecting current students with alumni through mentorship and engagement activities. Partner with FSU Libraries and UGS staff to enhance student-alumni interactions through in-person and virtual events.
Plan and execute Unit-led events, including conference receptions, Homecoming activities, and outreach programs, ensuring seamless coordination and impactful experiences for alumni and key stakeholders.
Align alumni engagement efforts with FSU Libraries and UGS fundraising priorities by integrating development goals into outreach programming that supports long-term donor relationships. Collaborate with FSU Libraries and UGS development and DUA donor relations teams to manage stewardship touchpoints that strengthen connections with donors and key stakeholders. Support and manage key FSU Libraries and UGS alumni volunteers, volunteer groups, or advisory boards/councils, partnering with the development team to foster meaningful involvement, engagement and leadership.
This may include contributing to agenda development, conducting research and creating events that inspire and empower volunteer leaders. Recommend alumni for volunteer leadership roles and contribute to donor pipeline development through incorporating best practice for discovery, CRM documentation, and recommending potential donors to development colleagues.
Leverage existing DUA programming (e.g., Alumni Affinity Networks, Seminole Clubs, Homecoming activities, Seminole 100 and Alumni Awards) to engage FSU Libraries and UGS alumni and ensure FSU Libraries and UGS colleagues are aware of programming. Support campus-wide alumni engagement by staffing signature and regional events, recruiting alumni volunteers, submitting alumni award nominations, and encouraging Seminole 100 applications.
Curate and amplify compelling stories about FSU Libraries and UGS students, alumni and donors. Respond to alumni inquiries. Partners with FSU Libraries, UGS, and DUA communications teams to develop an alumni communications plan for that complements central DUA outreach to alumni and donors. Effectively convey key updates, news, and engagement opportunities from FSU Libraries, UGS, DUA, and FSU, ensuring meaningful connections to FSU Libraries and UGS alumni.
