Position Specific Description

Our Engineering, Construction & Supply Chain team is looking for a motivated Category Specialist to support sourcing activities for critical materials within our Engineering & Construction organization. This role plays a key part in ensuring our projects stay on schedule and aligned with major milestones.

• Execute end to end sourcing processes for materials supporting Engineering & Construction projects
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and project alignment
• Drive results with minimal oversight in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Support commercial strategy and negotiations to secure best value outcomes

• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• A proactive, action oriented mindset
• Ability to collaborate across teams and manage competing priorities
• Interest in developing negotiation skills and commercial acumen

• Exposure to large scale infrastructure projects
• Opportunities to strengthen procurement expertise and strategic sourcing capabilities
• A deeper understanding of how Next Era Energy delivers value to customers and the communities we serve

Our Engineering, Construction & Supply Chain team is committed to achieving operational excellence. The Category Specialist will identify and manage categories critical to project success, ensuring procurement activities align with business objectives.

• Defines and manages category sourcing strategy
• Conducts market and spend analysis
• Supports procurement with source-to-pay activities
  
  Meets with Business Units to collect requirements and feedback
• Participates in cross-functional meetings and initiatives
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

• High School Grad / GED
• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
• Experience:
  
  3+ years

• Bachelor's Degree
