Position Specific Description

As a Sr. Project Manager on FPL's Development team, you will work at the forefront of the energy transition, leading the development and execution of distributed energy resource (DER) pilots that are shaping the future of the electric grid.

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of innovative DER pilots from concept through commissioning, coordinating across internal and external stakeholders to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget. A key focus of this role is advancing pilots that integrate with FPL's Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS), including behind-the-meter technologies such as residential flexible capacity and vehicle-to-grid applications.

This role will also have the opportunity to influence program strategy by evaluating pilot performance data, identifying market trends in distributed energy, and developing recommendations for scaling technologies toward commercial deployment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams spanning Power Delivery, Customer Service, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure pilots deliver measurable value to both the grid and FPL's customers.

This role may include travel throughout the state of Florida, up to 5-10% as needed.
