Summary/PurposeThe role is responsible for activities that support the day-to-day business operations, along with the new item launch process. The person in this role will be able to work efficiently, effectively and cross-functionally with external and internal stakeholders. These may include discussions and data sharing with customers, corporate engineering and sales personnel. However, primary activities will include working closely with plant production, quality, engineering, process control and the Plant Controller functions.
EssentialDuties and Accountabilities
- Responsible for developing and maintaining individual part Routings.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining individual Part Files, as appropriate.
- Responsible for establishing and Bill of Materials (BOMs) for
- Responsible for developing Cost Estimates for new and existing parts in a timely manner.
- Participate and support in the Manufacturing Feasibility process.
- Participate and support in the Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP).
- Maintain and report on the Plant’s Production Capacity and Utilization as required.
- Participate in and support the plant’s annual Re-costing Process.
- Participate in cross functional teams working to improve plant performance as required.
- Establish trusting working relationships; involved in and understand other functional areas and their impact on business results.
- Other miscellaneous activities as assigned.
- Proficiency in using computers and professional business applications (MS Office, Oracle, Interlink, etc.)
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and database software.
- Experience in product costing is preferred.
- Ability to develop presentations
- Ability to develop subject-matter expertise in Cairo Plant’s manufacturing processes, to include understanding individual departments, process flows, process owners and support personnel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management or Industrial Technology or other related courses of study.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or business environments preferred.

- Work is mostly performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards, and with substantial time spent working on a computer. Requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard and other office equipment.
- The performance of this position will require exposure to manufacturing or testing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
- Travel by automobile and plane required approximately 5% of time.
